Easter...resurrection eggs ???

I wanted to make peanut butter eggs for our Easter lunch and began looking at recipes, only to decide to use my Christmas peanut butter ball recipe but decorate for Easter!!

What fun to make and decorate and so easy or I could not have done it!!

Recipe: 1/2 c butter, softened- 2 1/3 c powdered sugar- 1 c graham cracker crumbs- 1/2 c peanut butter- 1/2 t. vanilla- 1 1/2 c chocolate chips- wax- 1/2 stick softened butter,powdered sugar with 1 T milk & food coloring for icing.

Like I said...easy!!

Here is our Easter table all decorated using one of my favorite things
my grandmother's
blue willow!!

Did you make a special dessert for Easter?

  1. Mmmmm...yummy! I love PB eggs! Your table looked wonderful!

  2. How cute and tasty too I bet!! Cupcakes with our Grandson with lots of sprinkles and a little licking going on as well

  3. your eggs are just beautiful!
our dessert was egg shaped sugar cookies, frosted and topped with coconut or finely chopped nuts - DD brought an apple pie too.

  4. They look so SPECIAL, Kathryn!!! Thanks for the recipe. I'm going to try them! Your table looks delightful! We celebrate Easter, of course, but just have never had a family tradition of a special Easter meal. We actually had Subway for lunch and leftover lasagna for dinner. Oh my! That sounds pitiful after seeing your post! LOL!

  5. How pretty!! I love the crosses on top. I love peanut butter eggs but don't make them much anymore. My 2 kids are both allergic to peanut butter. It really stinks when I grew up eating anything with chocolate and peanut butter!!

  6. How pretty those eggs are. And I am sure they were delicious! Sounds like a wonderful Easter. We went to my daughter's for dinner after a very nice worship service. We had storms but it was still a very nice day.

  7. Those eggs look delicious! We'll have to try them sometime. :)

  8. Hi Kathryn! Your Easter table is decorated beautifully made even more special using a treasured grandmother's dishes. And I LOVE your Eggs! I will have to try your recipe. Years ago our women's group at the church I was attending at the time, made over 1000 chocolate-covered peanut butter eggs decorated with buttercream icing every Easter. We took custom orders and with all working together and 2 days later, raised a lot of money for the ministries we funded. Thank you so much for visiting Shady Grove and sharing with me your memory of an 'old man's beard' tree at your mother's.

  9. Your Easter table looked wonderful and the eggs do sound doable for me. We had strawberry shortcake and loved every bite. Warm wishes. JC
